Partners
Partnerships and Collaboration
Reach Out and Read is all about partnerships: national, state, and local; public and private. Partnerships are evident in fundraising, in program development and implementation, and in the ways that ROR is embedded into early learning services and systems. ROR is a powerful, proven program that relies on a trusted point of contact for families, their child's doctor's office. At ROR we believe that by helping our medical practices be more connected with and integrated into early learning efforts in communities, we will further enhance positive outcomes for children and families. Please explore the partnership sections on the yellow bar above, and contact us if you'd like to learn more.
Statewide Partners
Reach Out and Read Washington State is a statewide effort. Therefore we actively partner with other statewide and regional efforts in order to further our goals. By working closely with others who are building the systems and services which support young children and families across the state, we will be more effective and reach more families. You will find links to some of our partners to the left in "Early Learning Links." Our partnerships with library organizations are great examples of statewide efforts which support local communities; see the Libraries tab above. The number of potential statewide partners is limited only by our creativity and ability to connect and brainstorm together. If you, or an organization you know about, would like to talk about partnering with Reach Out and Read Washington, please contact us.
Community Partners
All services for children and families are local, and what happens right near home directly supports children and families. ROR programs are part of medical offices within communities. The close bonds between doctors and families are a huge part of why ROR is effective. In communities across the state there are many organizations who support young children and families; and we want to work with them. A major strategy for doing so is through local "early learning coalitions" or partnerships. Please see our Communities tab above. If you are a local organization interested in connecting with or supporting Reach Out and Read programs in your community, we encourage you to contact us, and to connect with community level early learning efforts in your area.
