Early Learning Community Partnerships
Across the state, local communities at the county and regional level are collaborating to impact early learning . These partnerships strive to plan for and implement systems which support young children and families. The goal is to help assure children are healthy and ready for school. Reach Out and Read wants to partner with these efforts, helping ROR be an integrated part of what is happening within local communities. Many of these efforts are using the Kids Matter framework to help plan and implement their partnership work, as Reach Out and Read is doing.
Through connections with the Community Coalition Network and the Born Learning Communities, we have steadily increased awareness of Reach Out and Read across Washington. Communities are increasingly interested in implementing or expanding Reach Out and Read as part of their early learning efforts. Many are reaching out to ROR to partner in that process. At the statewide level, ROR continues to participate in many conversations which raise awareness about the current and potential role of Reach Out and Read in enhancing children’s development.
If you are a community interested in partnering with ROR, or an ROR practice interested in partnering more with your community, please contact us.
