Public and private funding supports Reach Out and Read

Reach Out and Read is a very cost effective program, because the professional staff who implement ROR donate their time to do so! Due to the generosity of our doctors, nurses, physicians assistants and staff who implement ROR within local medical practices, ROR fundraising can focus on books, training, and program supports. Nationally, Reach Out and Read has received U.S. Department of Education funding since 2000, and this directly benefits Washington state programs. Reach Out and Read Washington State was launched in 2007, and we seek both public and private funding to support programs across the state. ROR practices develop and sustain local funding for their programs; and ROR Washington State is building partnerships and resources to help facilitate these efforts.
