Welcome to Reach Out and Read Washington State!

Growing up healthy means growing up with books. That’s why doctors and nurses at Reach Out and Read (ROR) practices across Washington state give brand new books to young children when they get a checkup. By talking with parents and caregivers about the importance of reading aloud, medical providers give families  the information, support and materials they need to help promote their children’s developmental skills and help them be ready for success in school.
